A Green and Peaceful Resting Place
At the Ambarnath Christian Cemetery Association (ACCA), we believe that a final resting place should reflect peace, dignity, and harmony with nature. Over the years, ACCA has developed into a beautifully maintained, environmentally friendly space that offers comfort to grieving families and a respectful atmosphere for remembering loved ones.
Our cemetery grounds are home to plenty of trees, flowering plants, and over 500+ potted plants, all of which contribute to a lush green environment. This thoughtful landscaping not only enhances the natural beauty of the space but also promotes biodiversity and ecological balance within the cemetery.
The ‘Planting Hope’ Campaign, launched by ACCA in collaboration with member churches, played a significant role in transforming the cemetery into a green sanctuary. Through this initiative, hundreds of plants were placed across the premises, bringing life, freshness, and a sense of hope to a place often associated with loss.
ACCA’s commitment to environmental care goes beyond aesthetics. The presence of greenery helps in:
Reducing heat and improving air quality
Creating a calm and serene atmosphere for visitors
Supporting local birdlife and pollinators
Promoting eco-friendly and sustainable practices in cemetery management
We continue to nurture this green space with regular maintenance, watering, and seasonal planting efforts, ensuring that ACCA remains one of the most peaceful, respectful, and eco-conscious cemeteries in the region.
